Off and Flying!

YEAH!! Everyone arrived to Detroit's airport on time and we left without any problems early this morning. The flight to Atlanta went smoothly with half of the group sleeping and the other half playing a trivia game. Arianna, David & Elliott were REALLY into that game!! When we landed in Atlanta, Kelly stood up and said "wow, we're half way there now!" Everyone laughed!! :) Patrick reminded her we hadn't gone over the ocean yet!! We hope to get to our hotel in time to see at least the end of the World Cup game and we will possibly get to post again tonight, if the internet is working there!! Thanks for your support and prayers!

Dena, just want to tell you that your picture taking gift is such a blessing to all of us. I don't think I have ever thanked you for the way you allow us to experience our children's trips and events through your lenses. So thank you.

If you guys have time, look up the song Entited "End of the Begining" by David Phelps! The point... Christs death, burial and resurection is not the end, but the end of the begining!

To Team Jamaica,
Although I couldn't be there for the send off at the airport, I've been praying for this team for some time now. I'm excited to hear how the Lord will be working in the lives of all of you.
Haley, I know that this trip will enhance your walk with the Lord, and I'm grateful that you could be a part of it.
I (mom=D) miss you already. Tell your friends, that call me mom, that I'm praying for them as well, and I will miss them yelling in the background when I call you on the phone!(Jack, Rachel, Kelly etc.)
Leaders, thank you for all you have done in His name!
In Him, Jo (Ann) Gasparotto

Hey all!! This is probably the only post i will be able to do but i just wanted you all yo know that you will be in my thoughts and prayers! Remember why you are there serving and take every opportunity you can! One passage that i recall leaning on while in Jamaica was Heb 12:2 "Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfetor of our faith, who for the joy set before him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hope it encourages you as you serve! Dont lose sight of what God has done for you and daily go before the cross.

Thank you for taking the Gospel out into the world!!

Love Mary Hutek

Courtney and all, praying that the first day was wonderful and you were able to minister to all and share Christ through your work. When you get hot and exhausted, think of Act 1:8 and pray as we are praying for you here.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."

P.S. Courtney I love and miss you (seriously I DO miss you) and hope you are enjoying your new, big, pink, insulated water bottle (haha)
AND PLEASE EAT.

hey everyone!:) it's brooke&savannah.

Rachel & Lindsay, savannahs goldfish is dead.. for now. it may raise back to life, we aren't sure yet. we asked IT and he made bubbles telling us its a no go.

As for everyone else, church this sunday was too quiet, it was awkward. Patrick, there was no one there to whistle us to church but don't worry no one was late :D
We are praying for you guys and hope you are having a wonderful, safe time. GO TEAM!

Dear Jamaican Team:

Sooo glad to hear you made it there safely! I hope your first day went well and you are all loving this experience!

Lindsay - did you get to reconnect with Dawnte? I hope so! Also a big "HI" to my adopted daughter, your two twins and all the other lovely girls you hang around with! I'm praying for many specific things for each of you and can't wait to hear how God works in your lives!

Give everything you have this week so that when you leave the people you've met will know beyond a doubt that they have a Savior in Heaven who loves them!! And I pray that your testimony will be just as powerful to each other as you serve and grow together!!

Love you all!!

So I thought my trips were pretty much the best ever... But I hope yours can maybe be the only exception. :P I'm definitely praying for you all every day this week. I know God will you use in some amazing ways and that you'll learn a lot from being there and serving. I hope that all of you make the most of EVERY opportunity you have! It's like Paul says in 1 Corinthians 2:2 "For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." If you know that and only that this week you will change lives (including your own).

Love,
Joel

Kelly

Love the pictures, how wonderful to be able to be in Jamaica and serving the Lord in this very special way.

I think Aunt Shawn had the right idea on Sunday when she said she wished she could fit in your suitcase. I know it is alot more exciting that being at the bank behind this desk.

Have a wonderful time everyone and we will all be looking for updates and praying for each of you.

Love
